So I'm a bit confused and was hoping you could clear Information anywhere about a Dillion model guitar with this name even Guitar and he replied that it was a DXC-650. He has for sale a Les Paul Goldtop style guitar I discovered your guitar line through an eBay merchant named Interesting correspondence I had a while back with John Dillion of Dillion Guitars. They are not the real thing, but they're real guitars, so I can forgive their faults, especially because they were so cheap. I love my Dillions, maybe a little bit the way you love the underdog. It cleans up beautifully, especially with both pickups on, and it really sings through a Deluxe Reverb. Not a very powerful guitar, but a very bluesy one. The neck has a pretty substantial profile and fills my hand nicely. Swanky red/yellow sunburst finish with authentic-looking seagull inlays. The hardware is a little cheesy though-the selector switch is crap. Played soft it has a nice horn-like quality but it rivals my Paul for sustain. This is a great guitar the sound is classic V with tons of bonky-sounding midrange.

The power and density of the notes and the sustain are more Paul than my Pauls, though I haven't upgraded the stock pickups so there isn't too much complexity. LP Extreme: A real cosmetic beauty, lots of inlay and inlay and inlay, blue flame top with gold hardware, Grover Imperials and trapeze tailpiece. The payoff is the sound, though-it really snarls, like, really. Got it for nothing, wasn't expecting much, but I'll never forget pulling it out of the box and gasping out loud, "Oh my God, it's a Les Paul!" The frets are really small, though, so I find it a bit harder to play than my real Pauls. Though it has a classic 50's look, the neck is a bit 60's-thin for my taste. The body wood is gorgeous and it's a very versatile axe. I have a mini-fleet of Dillions I got starting several years ago-here's what I think, in the order I obtained 'em: I've been playing since '74, have been through many guitars, including Pauls my go-to workhorse is a '93 Studio with ebony fingerboard.
